Snapchat, a very popular platform of social media, is making a ton of people rich. Influencers and regular people are making hundreds of dollars a week for posting videos that have potential or become viral. They are offered even a million dollars for posting viral videos. There’s people that dedicate their day to only make videos, they invest in them and also invest their money to get a better house and just have a better life in general. A teenage girl won hundreds of dollars for videos she made, she’s able to go to the college she’s dreamed of, this has opened many opportunities for her future. Many high school students have gotten inspired and feel that getting money is their main priority so they will make videos as well.
Something I learned from playing Fakey was to not always believe whats posted online, I personally failed a couple times but I did kind of get the point of the posts that look real and fake. Personally, I don’t really use social media that much, most of the time is just to read memes or watch a couple videos. I most listen to or watch podcasts in youtube. I don’t post much either, if I do post something, it’s probably a picture of one of my pets. I don’t plan on changing the way I use social media, mainly because I wouldn’t want to post my life out in the open, I don’t really do anything interesting throughout my day so I wouldn’t have anything to post about.

I liked how you kept your summary short but detailed. When I am on an Instagram post or watching a TikTok video I fall for fake news too, but then I tell myself that it sounds too weird to be true and then I read the comments to the post to check what others are saying which sometimes are quick enough to call them out. I feel the same way about social media and I just use it for watching videos and seeing people’s posts.
