In the article “ Snapchat wants you to post” Tailor Lorenz, focuses on people becoming rich by posting random videos on Snapchat. The author mentions that one of those people was Cam Casey. He had become Tik Tok famous already but later on he decided to start posting spotlights on Snapchat which made him gain millions of dollars. Katie Feeney, a high school senior, also became financially stable just by posting unboxing short videos. It is evident that any ordinary person can become an influencer randomly. Further, Snapchat is very competitive with Tik Tok, both apps can be used to generate money, mostly young people tend to lean more towards Snapchat because it generates the money way sooner than Tik Tok while Tik Tok is more crowded and way harder to become a recognized influencer.
The only social media I use is Tik Tok, I don’t post anything because I’m shy but I enjoy scrolling through it watching different kind of videos, the videos are accurate based on the types of content you like which is one of the reasons why I like the app because even if I don’t watch the news Tik To can be very informative about that’s happening around the world. From the reading I learned that any ordinary person can become a famous content creator including me but that’s never going to happen because I would feel embarrassed if I ever posted something and it only has 3 likes.

I totally get where you’re coming from, especially about feeling shy to post. I’ve always been more of a viewer than a creator too, but reading this made me think about how even the most random videos can take off and turn into something big. Like you said, Snapchat’s giving people faster ways to make money, which is crazy. I used to think posting “silly” stuff wasn’t worth it, but now I’m thinking it could be an easy way to make cash just on the one off chance it takes off.
