For example in the text the another states that " I had disappointed my family and seriously let myself down." This shows how she really felt about everything.

3. Shannon Nichols was a honor roll student that fail the proficiency test 2 times in a roll. Being that she never had a GPA below 3.0 she felt like a failure. Shannon decide that she wasn't going to give her all into the next time she takes the test. In the text she stated that " I told myself the people grading the test didn't have the slightest clue about what constituted good writing." Which shows that she was fed up and trying as much as she did wasn't a good idea.

4. If I was Mrs. Brown the author English teacher and my student was to ask my a question like that I would be speechless. I would respond in a calm manner. But I would also tell them not to be hard on themselves and to not overthink it. As a English teacher it would be hard to explain or answer a question like that. In the text the author English teacher couldn't even answer the question herself. Which made things difficult to understand.

5. Back in Elementary I remember when I used to write short stories and my teacher would go through it. Sometimes she would cross out and edit a few things on my paper. This made feel some type of way. At the time of my life I wanted things to be perfect so on my final draft I would completely switch up the whole story or add on the story. Which made things worse because I had to rewrite my whole paper. I always felt like my writing was never good enough. All I received a lot of good feedback.
