Not a box! Holly Squshic

This is my “Not a box” project. I went around my home to find any loose materials. I always had the initial idea of making a shute of sorts, but with the other material I had, the visual of an oceanic diorama started to form. A plastic piece oddly shaped with tissue paper became an oyster, with an old ornament as its pearl. Cotton rounds became clouds, and the waves of construction paper made it all come together. I still have the shute, as I thought it was a fun decorative element (with tissue paper and painted dots) that you can pass multicolored cotton balls through!

This is wonderfully creative. I especially love your pink oyster cradling a shiny gold pearl. Great use of “found objects” to make art. You’ve really captured the spirit of “Not A Box.”
