The problem with this issue is that students that are bilingual struggle to learn, not understanding the work and have difficulty communicating and losing motivation to work.
Children are being affected by language confusion which reduces their cognitive development. Some children may feel closed in, making it difficult for bilingual children to feel confident in their abilities
Parents who speak limited English may struggle to become involved in their child’s education. And may have difficulty communicating with the school and their child’s teacher.
The community is being affected because in society there are lots of people who can’t attend schools because of the lack of help and programs to learn a language are difficult or too expensive.
The children are mostly affected because school and education is needed for them. And because they are children, they can experience confusion and difficulties in learning.
For children/Families there should be free accessible classes for them to learn English, and to learn and understand to be able to have opportunities for work, schools, and communicating with others. Providing training and resources to develop cultural awareness. And to also learn each other’s languages instead of english
This issue needs to be addressed because there are parents, families also concerned with the education of their child, and they are not knowing what to do to help, and how to communicate with their teachers. And there are also children who may not know English as their first language and are struggling to be in school and to learn and do their homeworks.
