- What other characteristics do you have that will make you an effective early childhood educator?
One of the characteristics I have Is being authentic. I can not be true to others if I am not true to myself. To display that to children of a classroom I want to show them I am here to help and have fun and make their learning the best it can be. That we should all be true to ourselves and can always ask for help. I do this now even at my job. We display a lot of teamwork and we know who is true to our teamwork. I think I have all the other characstics also stated but one that I can work is being more creative. I feel like there is much more I can be creative about and make it more easier to learn and find new ways.
The characteristics I possess are Passion, Perserverance, Patience, Respect, Authencity, Love of Learning, High Energy and Sense of Humor. I demonstrate these characteristics by showing an understanding of a child’s environment, showing understanding that all children are not the same and that others learn differently and at a different pace. Also, by understanding children are all from different cultures with different backgrounds; to treat each child as a unique individual, having that strive to want each child to succeed in every aspect and knowing children engages more and demonstrates more interest in learning within a energetic, fun environment. Other characteristics that I have that will make me an effective early childhood educator are compassion, empathy, trust worthy and supportive.
One characteristic that I possess from Colker 2008 is passion because being able to work with children is a love you know you have and can manage from the littlest to hardest level .“enthusiasm for children” is a key attribute. Therefore, if you feel that what you are doing makes a difference, that sense of accomplishment can sustain and motivate you to keep on expanding your career.
this one i agree have big passion for kids
I genuinely feel that I possess all characteristics described in Colker’s (2008). I believe I demonstrate them somewhat unknowably in my personality. For example, one of the characteristics is patience; I’ve always been a patient person (my mother says even during childhood) as long a I can remember. I feel I definitely will have increasingly more patience teaching children because I want to be able to fully aid them in learning everything they need to know to be successful. I believe possessing all of the characteristics mentioned, especially combined are enough to become a great effective educator.
Some characteristics I possess That Colker described are definitely respect and Authenticity. I demonstrate this by understanding that every family could have a different way in which they raise their children due to culture or religion. In this, I can modify my structure in my teaching style so I can still teach my way but also modify it to be a custom to certain children and their life as a whole not only in my classroom. In this, I would like to have an interest in every child’s life so I can better understand them and they can better get to know me as a teacher and return the respect given so we can work as a team instead of only as individuals, while also showing our individuality with our expression of self through our authenticity.
I 100 percent completely agree with Stephanie Flores we had the same idea

I demonstrate all these characteristics every day with my son and people around me. In the article, I learned. How I become an effective teacher in the field of early childhood education. Something I liked in the article was the four key characteristics that teachers gave with their experience having worked with children for many years. It is to “Take a personal interest in each student, Establish a caring/loving/warm atmosphere, Show enthusiasm with students, and Conduct thorough instructional planning/organizing”. For me, it is a very important point because shows me the way to become a good teacher in the future.
The many character tics that describe me and will start me in the right direction to be the extraordinary ECH educator ever are as follow authentic, flexible, sense of humor, and per Servance along with the willingness to take risk. I do require respect as I present it to you as well. Also, to have patience with the children and their families. How I demonstrate these characteristics are by applying them to my daily routine and using them the proper way so it can be returned to me in the manner I’m giving out. I’m understanding, caring. I want to be the educator that children can depend on as well as look up to and make sure they get the education they need and deserve.
The characteristics Colker described that I have is passion, patience and high energy. Passion is a thing that I have to focus the main target point. No matter what difficulties I have to face, still I have to do and concentrate the main point which I have. The another thing is patience and high energy. I also have patience because I have a toddler which requires more patience to deal with him. To do work with young children, is really hard and need more patience. High energy also needed for an effective early childhood educator because to control the little children, I need more energy and mindful for my job. If I have more energy, I can make the class more cheerful and enjoyable which are really needed for early childhood educator.
Some of the characteristics from Colker’s list that I possess are: Patience, flexibility, respect, pragmatism, authenticity, love of learning, and a sense of humor.

Some characteristics that Colker (2008) describes, that I posses are respect and passion. I believe I demonstrate these characteristics by the way I act. For example I am very respectful to everyone, I am aware how to be etiquette informant of others. I show passion by the way I present my self and my work. When I am into something I put all my energy and time on it. Another characteristic that I have that will lead me to become a effective early childhood educator is creativity. I am a very creative person since I have many hobbies. I also like to think of new and fun ways to do stuff.
Some of the characteristics Colker described that I posses were patient, high energy, and respect. I’ve demonstrated these characteristics in the past when I worked with kids, I was always patient when reading with them, when they would make many mistakes I would just correct them over and over until they got it. I always have high energy because the way you act can brighten everyone else’s day. For example when a kid I was tutoring was feeling tired I’d have high energy so they see and get motivated. Finally respect is one of my most important characteristics without respect the learning environment could turn into an unhappy place. I always make sure to respects everyone’s pronouns, name pronunciation, and speak in a good tone. Some other characteristics that will help me be a good early childhood educator are being fun and different I believe that these two characteristics are very important while working with kids.
I believe that I have the characteristic of perseverance. I demonstrate this characteristic in my everyday life by advocating for my daughter that is autistic. I do my research when it comes to the services that she needs, I also make sure that she is receiving them accordingly. When it comes to education, I do not believe that there is a limit to what can be learned. I strongly believe that different people have different forms of learning. Observations and general assessment will assist in finding the best approach to teaching specific subjects that can be difficult for someone.

Although, many teachers can have the characteristic I have already. I think the characteristic that describes me the best is being authentic because as long I can handle kids and get used to working with them, I can at least respond kindly along with being direct with them of telling them what they should and do not do. The children may be shrewd like they said in the article and can see if the teachers are authentic or not, they might not think I am not authentic at the beginning but as time goes hopefully they will warm up to me. The demonstrative characteristics I have is not speaking to them harshly, and waiting for children if they are behaving well or not (for instance- waiting for them to calm down). Even though I am good at being patient, I also want to work and develop it too, because sometimes it is hard to work with kids and cooperate with them.
1. The characteristics described that i have is patience. 2. I demonstrate this by remaining calm and remaining optimistic in times of conflict in my real life and at work.
3. I would like to further develop my sense of humor because i can further help me with my patience. Learning to find things to giggle at helps to focus on the positive and keep stress at bay.
4. Other characteristics i have that will also make me an effective childhood education teacher is my authenticity , my creativity, and my respect and care for others.
The characteristics that describe me are Patience, creativity, and high energy. I demonstrate these characteristics by keeping track of each child’s progress so I don’t mix up other children’s progress. Being creative and quick thinking when my resources are limited. And to bring high energy to the classroom by being a buoyant vessel and playing music to get the kids pumped. I would like to develop a willingness to take risks because being grey is dull and kids love taking risks from babies to developing their physical development. There are other characteristics that I possess are Authenticity, flexibility, respect, and sense of humor.
The characteristics that describe me is patience. I demonstrate this characteristics by always having patience in helping a child learn things slowly than having them rushing it. I would like to develop sense of humor because it would help with me being patient with children. Other characteristics that will make me an effective early childhood educator are creativity, authenticity and respect for everyone.
