Summary

The situation is harshly described in The Return, a film by Andrey Zvyagintsev. Two brothers experience the return of their dad who was absent for a long time. When he enters the house, it becomes clear they need to go fishing. However, the brothers cannot understand why their dad is with them and what he truly wishes. It becomes a challenging situation for them, obviously. They have to decide what they want and what they should do in the situation when they are dissatisfied with their dad, want him to like them, and do not understand how far his plans go. The Return depicts that the family situation is complicated, and the most appropriate decision is not always evident.
1. I would follow my conscience-they'd likely make choices that feel right to them which can lead to a sense of peace or closure
2.I don’t know what i would do- the outcome might be the brothers making a choice that's a mix of right and wrong
3. I would do whatever would improve my situation- the brothers might make choices that help them the most, even if it's not the perfect moral choice.
4. I would do what God or scripture says is right- if they were to follow god, they could make selfless decisions of what’s morally right which can give them a sense of fulfillment or peace
5. I would do whatever made me happy-If the brothers choose what makes them happy, they might enjoy the moment but they could face future repercussions if their choices are seen as wrong by others.
6. I would follow the advice of an authority figure- If the brothers listen to an authority, they might be praised by the father but they could also end up unhappy if it goes against what they truly want.
7. I would do what’s best for everyone- if the brothers choose the greater good, they might not get what they personally want but could help others and feel good about it.

if i had to make a decision, I'd probably lean more towards following my own conscience because then i’m doing what feels right in my heart even if it means making sacrifices. It's all about staying true to yourself and doing what make you truly happy and matters to you
