bandwagon
Definition: A phenomena which people tend to base their views, actions, and beliefs or trends because its the “popular” thing to do, rather than forming their own opinions or judgments. \
example: Alex rushed for the most recent iPhone model because it was popular among his circle of friends, revealing the bandwagon effect.
In this example, Alex hurried to get the most recent iPhone model, not because he liked its features or functionality for his needs, but because he saw his friends or peers doing so. The smartphone’s popularity among his social circle influenced his decision-making, pushing him to join the “bandwagon” of owning a iPhone.

Good example! I believe bandwagoning is probably one of the most common fallacies we experience today, all because everybody wants to just hop on trends and be what they think is “cool” or “popular” only for the time being until it isn’t anymore or a certain group says it isn’t.
