Conversation #7: Fallacies

Evelin Flores Aguirre

Slippery Slope

Definition: a claim leading to one event than another, usually causing bad consequences.

Example: If you don’t pass the final exam, you will have to retake the course next semester, leading to you not graduating as you planned.

Explanation: The final exam being one event, retaking the course is another, and not graduating on time is another. The two events following the main event are the consequences, and not being good ones.
