Summary

Ted Talk:
He gives us many examples that are based on real life that people usually think of when they are not satisfied with what they have. When they have doubts and even though they have everything they still feel basic. He gives us a word that stood out to me a lot in the video "the secret to happiness is low expectations" that accompanies it with an example about when he went and bought the best pair of pants that he had ever had but he was not happy

Article:
The article tells us about how people are happier depending on the amount of money they earn since everything nowadays moves with money. Be it school, personal items, meals, activities, etc. He explains to us how there are times when happiness does not come with money since even the richest people in the world usually compare themselves or are not happy with what they have.

I agree that money doesn't buy happiness, for me happiness is not just material things, happiness comes with love, attention, laughter, affection, passion and many other things that money does not buy. Money does give us the strength to achieve what we want, like going to school and those we like and material things. But a person needs more than that, what is the point of having everything but being alone, without a partner and without family. Yes, I believe that today, because of money and power, there are people who compare themselves, who are not satisfied and who always feel empty, who believe that they will fill that with money or power. There are people who are malicious, obsessive, manipulative, liars and more. In the ted talk, Barry doesn't give many examples but some that I'll give that I've seen many, are interviews of artists who fall into depression because when they get to the point of having money they do everything, have fun and more but after that they don't know what to do next with all the money. “Studies suggest that when we feel like we can’t maintain the same standard of living as our peers, it makes us unhappy”.
