Summary
The Paradox of Choice" is a TED Talk by Barry Schwartz, where he discusses how having too many choices can lead to anxiety and dissatisfaction. Schwartz says that having choices is usually good, but too many choices can make it hard to decide. Schwartz suggests that simplifying choices and focusing on what's important can make us feel happier and more satisfied.
In the article “From the ‘Perfect’ Salary to Keeping up with the Loneses, here’s How Money Affects Your Happiness’ .The article suggests that while money is crucial for meeting basic needs, its ability to bring happiness depends on how we choose to use it, indicating that happiness is not solely determined by financial wealth but rather by our actions and choices and the premises is that ‘Money is essential for meeting basic needs and achieving financial stability’.
well, I agree with Cory Stieg’s massage and I believe that money can’t buy happiness because maybe money can contribute to happiness up to a certain point by providing for basic needs and reducing stress, beyond that threshold, additional wealth doesn't necessarily lead to more happiness. the pursuit of wealth alone doesn't guarantee happiness. True fulfillment often comes from meaningful relationships, personal growth, and a sense of purpose beyond material possessions. While financial stability is important, it's just one piece of the happiness puzzle. My premise is that Money is essential for meeting basic needs and achieving financial security but it can’t give you the ultimate pleasure or happiness in life.
Ultimately, factors such as relationships, health, and personal fulfillment play significant roles in overall happiness.
