Summary
To me, critical thinking is taking a deeper look and having a greater understanding of a concept. Critical thinking is crucial to analyzing and evaluating information. Whether that be an article, book, or real-life situation. It involves a skillful examination of thoughts, aiming to enhance someones thinking. This is something that takes time and practice to get good, just like any other thing you may learn to do.
According to the speakers it is so important because it helps us to better understand how someone is thinking. Along with reflecting on the actions of how we perceive the work. With the use of our imaginations we can make relevant connections while thinking critically. Something I found interesting from the speakers point of view is the idea of “taking apart thinking”, this is the idea of examining the components of thoughts, ideas, or arguments to gain a deeper insight into its structure. Essentially what is trying to be said is being able to break down complex concepts for a more thorough examination of whatever it may be that you are trying to analyze. Therefore, you can have a better understanding and informed decision making. I do agree with the speakers because practice is essential and in order to think critically you have to think outside of the box.

I really liked how you defined critical thinking, you written out really well. I guess we both got our answer to our first question, and now have an understanding of what critical thinking is. I also agree with you on how we need to better on understand things before we take any type of action.
Hey Ashley , I agree with everything you said especially the part where the speaker talks about “taking apart thinking”. Knowing that we should not just think but breaking down the components of thoughts. I really liked the way you explained what your definition of critical thinking was.
Hi Ashely, I strongly agree with your perspective on critical thinking. It’s crystal clear you grabbed the essence of critical thinking as an exercise of carefully analyzing information and sharpening your understanding based on practice and experience. Well done !
