- Here we see how Melissa Checker, discusses the idea of gentrification but also implements the environmental part and how it is involved as certain cities through New York change. We see certain events take place where we had to rebuild certain areas. With that, a new reconstruction of gentrification was added and environmentalism by staying up to date with politics and policies. It also gives a method of cause and effect where we see an impact in one area but then we see a consequence in another.
