The topic that I’m going to be discussing as the basis for my research is the legalization of marijuana in the city but more specifically Harlem. For my research I will be asking the question does the addition of this new controversial, yet taxable income benefit the community? Some of the issues arising are local the local assembly is not convinced that their communities will be respected and benefit from the changes these ocaylocationstions will bring. Another issue that should be discussed is incarceration of those with marijuana charges and if those are now deemed reasonable with the new laws especially in a predominantly urban community.
