Dear students,
We are nicely proceeding into the semester. I hope that your experience so far has been satisfactory in this online Criminology. Exam 1 is behind us and so is Short Assignment #1. I have provided feedback to those students who submitted their posts. They can update their posts to get a better grade. If you have not submitted your first short assignment, you can do it now.
I will grade Exam 1 shortly. I hope it was not a stressful exam. The other three exams will follow the exact structure of the first one.
This week we are focusing on biological explanations of criminal behavior. This is a fascinating field of study and one of the oldest in Criminology. We will learn about the early biological theories (most discredited) and more modern explorations of how our biology might influence our involvement in crime. You can learn all about it by going to Week 6 unit. There is an interesting discussion forum for this week involving craniometry and facial recognition.
I will be posting a video about Short Assignment 2. Please make sure to watch it so you can understand how to do it. The deadline for this assignment is October 16th.
I will have my office hours this week on Monday and Thursday. I have my virtual office hours today starting at 1 pm for an hour. You can find me here:
