Assignment #3 Hubert Kadyszewski

Looking at Tommy Ross’s history with crime, I think that applying the theory of social learning makes sense to me. I think that the people he would be with on a daily basis along with the behavior of people around where he lived caused Tommy to develop behaviors that influenced his crime. I think that the sole reason behind his behavior might be due to his gang activity. It seems that people who join gangs will always try to copy the behavior of other members in order to fit in and these constant behaviors will become habit and may even seem normal if done for a long time. Things like fighting, stealing and other crimes will most likely be part of this behavior which is connected to Tommy since he would always be expelled from schools for some of these behaviors. It seems that he joined gangs because he saw it as a glamour and It seemed appealing and got seduced into it.
