As you turn the corner to go into my block the first thing that is seen is this RTA building that’s been around, probably longer than me. It has a camera right in front of the door and it’s one of the first things I see on my way home whether I’m driving or walking.
This camera here is on an apartment building a few doors up from my house and it’s also been there for quite a while. They recently changed the type of camera they have. Before the camera use to be a small round one and they upgraded to this one because it had been broken and they knew needed a new system to look out for what goes on in the neighborhood.
My next door neighbors installed this camera about 5 years ago because we had been getting a lot of attempted break-ins and cars broken into. My house and a few of my neighbors had their doors and windows banged on and almost broken someone, who we never ended up finding. When this kept happening a lot of us were petrified by the fact that one day they might actually come into one of our house so a lot of people around that time had bought and installed cameras for their home.
