Short assignment #4

I do believe we should be rethinking how traffic laws in cities and the suburbs are enforced. Most police take matters into their own hands and don’t follow protocol. Majority of people who are stopped in traffic stops are people of color. This goes to show that their task of deterring unsafe driving isn’t being helped with traffic stops if their target are mainly people of color. By banning traffic stops like in Philadephia, Los Angeles, Seattle, etc, it will bring positive changes to the justice system and the affected communities because most traffic stops are done from being racially profillied. Banning traffic stops will benefit the people that live in those areas because they will not have to interact with law enforcement and receive mistreatment from police. Their are many traffic stops that have took place and resulted in the death of specifically black men. Instead of traffic stops their can be automated enforcement so everyone can receive fairness when it comes to traffic stops. By not having traffic stops it can help build a trust within the community. Also by having automaded enforcement it can help in bringing down the percentage in police brutality taking place.
