ASSIGNMENT #4

Traffic stops serve various purposes, such as enforcing traffic laws to ensure road safety, identifying and preventing potential criminal activities like drug trafficking or driving under the influence, checking for valid licenses-registrations, and addressing vehicle equipment issues that could endanger drivers or others on the road. Banning traffic stops could reduce certain biases and tensions during routine interactions with law enforcement. However, it’s essential to consider alternative strategies to ensure road safety while addressing any concerns related to the justice system and community relations. Finding a balance between public safety and community trust it will still be a “thing”.
