These are the prevention measures used to deter crime in my neighborhood. The first image is NYPD plaid clothing officers; they are used to stop crime and wear regular clothes so that citizens do not recognize them. The second is something I notice more frequently in my community. The officers are put on post to stop fare evasion. I notice that more officers are placed in lower-income neighborhoods versus more affluent ones. The last image is a security camera I see daily in my community; they are used to prevent crimes and have individuals who may commit crimes second guess themselves for the idea of being watched.
