The movie Moonlight is based on Chiron’s life in three faces as a child as a teenager, and as an adult, the movie shows the events that occurred to Chiron affected him later on in life, all the outcomes were a connection to his early childhood. The moral dilemma from the movie was mainly the Negligence of this mother in never caring for him or showing any type of love since his childhood he grew up with this emptiness and knowledge all he ever saw was crime and sadness seeing his mother do drugs and it all just created him into someone fragile and fear. Following the 7 moral positions if I were in Chiron’s position I would follow my conscience seeing that what my mother is doing wrong and I shouldn’t follow those steps, I would instead try to improve find somewhere else to stay try to move from environment I know it won’t be easy, and do what is best from me. Once I remove myself from that environment I would be more at peace and seek help and perhaps have a better future, not the best but somewhere I can be happy. I based my morals and values based on what’s best for me.

Hi Maritza, I agree I would not stay in an environment that is hindering me. Personally, because I have already done this and had the worst experience. But also, in that experience I learned that sometimes when we make choices to benefit ourselves, its best. I grew up with much love and affection, just not from parents and so I can understand the Moral Position chosen. Great Post!
