Ambiguity

Summary

I chose Ambiguity because I used it without knowing at some point. When a phrase with multiple definitions is used within the argument does not support the conclusion for example if I said to my husband that we have a good understanding of our marriage. Therefore, we know exactly how it began and exactly when. I could explain that the ambiguity here is what exactly “good understanding” means. The conclusion assumes a much better understanding than is suggested in the premise; therefore, we have the ambiguity fallacy. It is funny how I was reading all of them and I believe we used them in our daily life. Fallacies affect the outcome of our everyday decision-making process.
Like the false cause is like “You can’t prove it.” Argument from Ignorance and argument from ignorance declare that something must be true if it cannot be proven false.
