Summary
The Chinese spy balloon
I choose the event of the Chinese spy balloon, in Allsiides post. There was good information on the other news website about the spy balloon. The name of the new Media Bias Alert: Was the US Response to the Chinese Spy Balloon too Weak? The tension between the United States and China, China has maintained it was a civilian airship conducting meteorological research that veered off course, but the saga has further strained relations between the world's two largest economies. While I’m reading the only thing that came to my mind was if there is more of the story and the government is hiding it from the civilians. The Chinese balloon was part of a military-led spy program that spanned more than 40 countries, Biden administration officials said. The balloon spent days flying over the United States and Canada before President Joe Biden ordered it to be shot down seven miles off the coast of South Carolina on February 4 by the US fighter jet. Meanwhile, there is a second balloon that appeared in Latin America. The issue for them is why it took them so long to destroy, but Biden was waiting for the balloon not to be close to civilian territory.
The Republicans were dissatisfied with the briefing about the balloon stating that was unspecific, insufficient, and backward-looking. Fox news and others also focused on criticizing the Biden administration over allegations that a similar balloon traversed U.S. Airspace during Trump’s presidency. However, it looks is not the first time and the NY post also tended to focus more on what the balloon traveled over a Nuclear-armed US military base in Montana. Everyone worry about how the spy balloon was handled but in the end, they agreed their no other way to put the country in a bad mood, and most Democrats are defending the president for taking a cautious, measured approach.
In my opinion, I will agree Biden did the right choice of not destroying it around civilians because you never know if it could have contaminated explosion. An explosion creates a shock wave, which if intense can tear tissue and they weren't sure if the balloon got anything. The less intense blast can damage the eardrums, lungs, and abdomen so I agree he did it when it was not close of residential.

You make an important point regarding the potential for the first balloon to contain explosives and the additional danger it could have posed. Recent news reports have revealed that there were concerns that the Chinese balloon may have contained explosives, while some news reports do not focus on this.
Sam, I do agree with you. The other news is just worry about how the President handle the issue instead of thinking that no one knew if there were any explosion traveling near civilian’s houses.
