what is critical thinking? the definition of critical thinking would be the process of analyzing into depth a situation and coming to a well-structured conclusion. coming to a conclusion would be by first observing the situation, and seeing the possible outcomes, negative or positive. 2nd would be analyzing and gathering information and data to understand better and interpret the situation, once the data is analyzed an inference can be made through data or personal knowledge, communicating your inference helps others analyze too, and help with problem-solving. critical thinking is important in improving decision-making skills, it stimulates curiosity and creativity. two speakers would define critical thinking as a skill in which they can further develop their argument, and position it in a stronger manner. the skills used would be further planning, researching, and thought meaning own knowledge. it is important according to the speaker because an argument must be logical to the audience, not only to the audience but to the speaker, the speaker must have some knowledge to its statement, and prove it’s logical in both ways to the speaker and audience. it is important because it helps you go more into depth with your thoughts and decision-making, not only do you view your thoughts but all the possible outcomes.

Hi Maria,
It’s very interesting how you broke down critical thinking into different steps. I agree! It’s important to analyze and come to a well thought conclusion. It also does help with decision making skills with the stimulation of creativity, that’ s a really great observation. I really enjoyed your interpretation of critical thinking. Do you agree with it?
I agree with you on how critical thinking skills can help you be aware of all the possible opinions that can counter or challenge you. With that, you are able to evaluate the situation more to either come with a stronger argument or agree with the other speaker if they seem more correct and sensible. Nice one.
I think it’s great that you broke the definition of critical thinking into two parts. Critical thinking is important because it helps people think and make decisions more deeply and take into account all possible outcomes. It also makes sure that both the speaker and the audience are making logical and well-informed points.
I agree that an important component of critical thinking is gathering data and information before reaching a conclusion. We need information and data to analyze before we can do the analysis and apply our critical thinking. Without having the information and data, we will not be able to do any analysis even if we are expert critical thinkers. This is why at times many very intelligent people make poor decisions, when they do not have access to information.
