The relationship between the wealthy and perfect Park family and the poor Kim family is one of the moral dilemmas in the movie Parasites. The Kims start to mislead and deceive the Park family as they get more and more engaged in the Parks’ life in an effort to retain their newfound position and financial stability. They even try to go as far and take the Parks’ place. But when things get out of hand, they are compelled to take responsibility for their actions and the harm they do to other people in order to keep their new lives.
1. I would follow my conscience
Based of my conscience, i wouldn’t have been able to try and steal someone else’s life and home, especially when the consequences are severe.
2. I don’t know what I would do
In a situation like that, I wouldn’t know whether it would better to be honest and say what is going, or keep on with the lies and face the consequences.
3. I would do whatever would improve my own situation
If I were in the same situation as the poor family, then I could somewhat understand why they were surviving the way that they were.
4. I Would Do What God or the Scriptures Say Is Right
I would follow based on my beliefs and religion, and based off that i wouldn’t try and steal someone else’s life.
5. I Would Do Whatever Made Me Happy
If I were struggling as bad as the poor family was, then its understandable why they continued to leech of the Park family.
6. I would follow the advice of an authority figure
The parents of the Kim family are also the ones who join to exploit the wealthy family even though they know they shouldn’t.
7. I would do what’s best for everyone
Both families are on two different sides of the spectrum however it could’ve been possible for both families to come up with an agreement in which the Park family could help the Kim family.
If i were in the position of the Kim’s family, then i wouldnt have tried to steal the lives of another family, as they aren’t apart of my choices and havent done anything. My moral compass wouldnt allow me to do harm to others and do what is the right.

Morals are a person’s standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for them to do. morals are your ideas about right and wrong, especially how you should act and treat other people. The movie I chose was “Parasite” a strong captivating Chinese production film. The movie is about the perfect and wealthy Kim family whom was seemed by a poor and less fortunate Kim family wanting to take over their lives . “What’s done in the dark typically comes to light” This statement means eventually the Kim’s were caught; which made the Kim’s eventually questions their morals.
1. I Would Follow My Conscience
I would definitely feel like peter pan ; stealing from the rich to give to the poor; possibly not thinking about my repercussion
2. I Do Not Know What I Would Do
I wouldn’t know weather to involve my family; considering the consequences fore I would want them to be safe while I con the people.
3. I Would Do Whatever Would Improve My Own Situation
I would try and save as much money from scheming the Park’s family with in a particular time and eventually stop so that I don’t get caught
4. I Would Do What God or the Scriptures Say Is Right
I would turn the other check on religion; because I would be committing a bad act.
5. I Would Do Whatever Made Me Happy
Making me happy would be to get my family in a better position; I would continue to leech.
6. I Would Follow the Advice of an Authority, Such as a Parent or Teacher
I would not follow the advice of anyone for my morals are already instilled.
7. I Would Do What Is Best for Everyone Involved
I honestly would say the Kim’s could have gotten away if they were not being greedy with intensions on completely stealing their life.
If the Mr Parks (wealthy man) was a little bit kinder and respected his staff he would not have been killed
A parasite is organism that live on a host. The Kim’s amongst others, took advantage of the Parks family by leeching. I probably would scheme the Park’s family in order to build generational wealth especially if I was poor. When humans are placed in horrible life circumstances they don’t always make the most rational decisions, considering their circumstances.

Great post, I think number one may be difficult for this family because its clear they know right from wrong but they strive for a better life for themselves so it may be difficult to steer clear from bad decisions. Sometimes your wants may overpower your moral compass and this seems to be the case for this family.
I too find it difficult to be able to lie and harm others, for the sake of my own needs but the Kim’s family almost had little to no choice. I see what you mean by mentioning that Park’s family could’ve perhaps come to an agreement and help The Kim’s family but what if they said no? The Park’s family Is in a different financial class, why would they still help the Kim’s knowing they were poor, and had no qualifications? Is it best for the Kim’s to take that chance, I don’t know because they’ll just be back to square one but at least they have no guilty conscience.
