I like the fallacy you choose. People contradict themselves every day, their words say something else and their actions suggest otherwise so they tend to turn away criticism by criticism. We see this a lot in politicians and it is important for us to be aware.
Great example people tend not to practice what they preach especially in leadership, so they criticize a person in hopes to down play their own flaws.
