A fallacy is a misconception that occurs in an argument that causes it to be invalid. There are many examples of different fallacies however, the I chose for this assignment is Ad Hominem fallacy. This is an argument that uses manipulation tactics in an effort to discredit their opponent instead of focusing on the issue.
Here is an example https://youtu.be/RnMmXTVOjBY
In this video Homer Simpson attempts to discredit Mr. Patterson during the debate by attacking his personal traits such as his grey hair and his age instead of focusing on the issue.

Hi Nasanya,
I myself like this particular fallacy. Ad hominem is a brutal way of tearing down another person’s argument by attacking their character. It is often used in politics and a notable example would be the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. I only bring this up because I had to watch this debate when I was in high school and I had to watch it and I found multiple examples of Ad Hominem.
