Ale Flores Conversation #2

Summary

The themes of Beyonce's "formation" soundtrack go to much deeper than simply racism and police aggression. this song conveys messages about sexism, the LGBT movement, beyoce pride, feminism, black pride, as well as black power.
yes! Not only did she showed through the lyrics but also the music video, it obviously includes beyonces s killer moves and her beautiful little girl, but the video also goes into the problems that the black community is facing today, such as police brutality and unattainable beauty standards. Also the timing she released the song and the music video was around black history month. which it's obviously she was trying to send a message. Not only that but to all her "haters" saying how she got a nose job and still " loves her culture even though she removed something that distiguish her from being black". in this part of her lyrics she explains how proud she is and how she would never forget where she comes from don't matter her success " i like my negro nose with jackson five nostrils earned all this money, but they never get the country out of me". she used euphemism and sarcasm through this lines by expressing black features and the word "negro".
the video was contreversal since a lot of people took it wrong, specially the police saying that her song was "anti police". we shouldn't trust the police force. which i agreed sometimes.
