Critical thinking is the ability to make a rational decision or judgment based on filtering and questioning your own views beliefs and thinking process. It is the ability to make logical judgments through our experiences knowledge and senses. It is a very important skill because, without the ability to question and sharpen your mind, you remain ignorant and unable to make correct decisions. I agree with my classmates as well as DR.Richard paul that it is very important to not only question when we are thinking but also observe and question what we think. Jesse Richardson also mentioned very important detail about this topic. He spoke about how great and influential it will be to teach children critical thinking skills at school. I love this idea because, in today’s world, many things are starting from outside information and ending with social media that can easily influence kids. If we educate children and give them the ability to question their surroundings, not only they will be more shielded from the negative influence but also eventually we will have a more intelligent society overall.
