Providing your students with timely and thoughtful feedback on their performance in your courses is essential to supporting their success.
In this workshop, we will discuss some of the concrete ways in which we can provide feedback to our students through the Brightspace grading interface – from rubric construction and use, to written feedback to the in-line text tool. We will also consider methods for providing feedback on student work, performance and participation broadly, considering how to construct feedback to encourage our students to improve and honor what they have accomplished. Brielle Buckler will share her real-world experiences with using Brightspace to provide feedback and will demonstrate performing assessment in her courses.
Come ready to share your favorite methods for providing feedback, and talk through challenges that you’ve encountered with your colleagues.
