Details

Join Serine Ndiaye and Eugenia Cawley for a lively, hands-on session on using playfulness and gamification to energize classroom learning. Experience two low-prep, high-engagement activities that transform routine lessons into interactive learning moments:

  • Serine will demonstrate a calculator-based challenge that turns a simple math warm-up into a fast-paced game of prediction and problem-solving.
  • Eugenia will lead “Simon Says: Verbs in Action,” an embodied grammar activity that helps students connect movement, language, and meaning — showing how play builds both memory and community.

We invite participant reflections and engagement. Together, we’ll explore how movement, curiosity, and friendly competition can motivate students across disciplines and deepen engagement in both in-person and online settings. You’ll leave with quick, adaptable strategies to spark energy in your next class session — no tech expertise required, just curiosity and a sense of fun!
