So you’ve copied an existing course into your new course site – now what? Whether your course is coming from a few semesters ago, all the way from Blackboard, or even just from last semester – there will certainly be things that you’ll want to attend to before your students arrive. Time to tidy up!
In this workshop we will cover some mainstays for getting your copied course up to snuff for your incoming class. We’ll have a look at the Homepage, and consider what might warrant changing or updating, and how to do that – from Announcements to your Course Calendar. We’ll have a look at the Content section and think through identifying what to keep and – what might not spark joy anymore! We will have a look at Dates and how to align them with the new semester timeline, and we’ll also peek at the Gradebook, to see what extraneous things might have gotten lost in there and how to jettison them.
