Details
This session is the third in a three-part series on Trauma Informed Pedagogy. These sessions will explore ways to manage a supportive, safe and structured classroom environment while acknowledging the emotional contexts and lived experiences our students carry with them into these spaces. You are welcome to attend an individual session or the entire series. Building on earlier sessions focused on trauma-informed teaching and practical classroom strategies, this session centers on techniques for de-escalating emotional or tense moments in the classroom.
Series Schedule
February 19: Understanding how trauma and stress inform teaching and learning.
March 19: Sharing actionable tools faculty can use to maintain safe and supportive learning spaces.
April 23: Techniques for de-escalating emotional or tense moments in the classroom.
