Join us for a conversation about how to use built-in features in Brightspace to construct and facilitate engaging environments for group work and collaboration amongst your students. In this session, Amber Liao will share with us her experience of using the Groups function in Brightspace to facilitate group work and projects for her students. We will explore how the tools can be used to create different kinds of spaces for collaboration, conversation and assignment submission – all with the instructor’s capability to observe the collaborative work and conversations through Brightspace. Please bring your experiences with designing group projects in your classes, and how you have used Brightspace and other digital learning tools to facilitate these experiences, as well as your questions bout how to bring ideas for new group assignments and projects to fruition.
The Brightspace Bistro is a space for BMCC faculty to share experiences with and tips about using Brightspace. Let’s learn together about how to make the best use of this new platform! CETLS and Digital Education staff will be on hand to provide support and answer questions.
