Paola is an ASAP student at BMCC pursuing an Associate in Early Childhood Education. Paola is a Mexican student who enjoys trying new things, she enjoys a multitude of things such as painting, baking, photography, and spending time with her family. As an ASAP Peer Mentor, she enjoys assisting others when they’re having difficulties or anything in general.

Makayla who friends and family call Kayla is an ASAP student at BMCC in her second year pursuing an Associate in Psychology. After graduation, Makayla plans to work or intern as a youth counselor. Makayla has a passion for helping others towards success and she looks forward to working together with other ASAP students and building a path for all to reach their goals at BMCC!

Scarlet is an ASAP alumni from BMCC with an Associate in Animation and Motion Graphics now studying at Queens College to pursue a BFA in Design with a Minor in Animation and Illustration. Since very young Scarlet has made it her goal to pursue and expand her passion in the arts. As a Peer Mentor, since she is aware of the struggles and confusion that many students go through so she wants to offer a guiding hand and help them as much as she can.

Ridwan Ahmed

Ridwan is an ASAP student at BMCC in his second year pursuing an Associate in Accounting. Graduating from high school and moving to the U.S. in 2019, Ridwan had to face many obstacles due to the pandemic and moving to a new country. Now with the help of ASAP, he can achieve his studies smoothly and wants to help other students to get the help they need.

Nila is an ASAP alumni from BMCC now studying at Hunter College to pursue a B.S. in Sociology with a Minor in Media Studies and Public Policy. Nila is a senior Career Peer Mentor here at BMCC, she knows that the journey in career readiness can be daunting for many students but with a strong support system, they can succeed, because of that Nila is ready to offer support, resources, and direct assistance with your career journey!
