Cloaked Book Cover – 2019
The assignment was to reimagine the book cover of one of your favorite books. I chose the book “Cloak and Spider” written by David Dalglish because I loved the book. The book places heavy emphasis on the life of thieves, murderers and guilds. I wanted to convey the importances of the cloaks (they signify which guild the characters are aligned with) and the dark world that everyone is struggling to survive in. The red text was meant to represent the blood spilled by the main character, his loved ones and acquaintances in the pursuit of his goal. The smoke effect is used to express how things are done under cover in the story.
