Week 11 + Essay Draft

Dear CRT 100 Students,

Welcome to Week 11. Time is flying by. I was impressed with your Post 6 (see my feedback in the “This is Us” announcement) and Post 7, your last one, is due by tonight.

This week you will learn about the Hawaiian perspective–as you read and listen to our course materials, think of examples of hegemonic and counternarrative discourse, two terms we are also exploring in this unit.

This week is also dedicated to your essay draft, due by next Tuesday night, Nov 9th. Wherever you are with your research, take the next step or steps so that you can begin writing your draft. See draft guidelines in this week’s materials. There is no page requirement for the draft, but the more you have the better. And thank you to those of you who attended our get together yesterday–it was a small, but certainly also a productive gathering!

Please also note that my office hours for the remainder of the week are a bit different than usual and as follows:

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2-3PM & Thursday, November 4th, 10-11AM.

Reach out with any questions you may have,

Prof. Barnes
