From “Arab and Other Middle Eastern Americans” I learned that 2018 was an important year for the Arab an Middle Eastern community because Rashida Tlaib was the first ever palestinian American to be choosen as a memeber of congress, which shows a growth in political participation.
In the video “Missconception of Middle Eastern Culture and Religion” I learned that the Middle East is very diverse. it is comprised of 18 countries, 5 major languages, 20 minority languages and 17 different ethnic groups.
“Literacy Reform in the Middle East” talked about how large countries have the highest rate of illiteracy and the smaller countries have lower rates of illiteracy. One expample the article mentions is that Morocco, Sudan, and algeria each have at least 30 million of total population. All three contries togeteher make up 32 percent of the Arab world, an there is 37 million illiterate adults in all three countries combined together.
my source on this topic is “Literacy in the Middle East” the video addresses issues in the Middle East. One issue is shown in Sausdi Arabia where in school choildren are taught to read in a different “language’ than the one they use at home, which makes students to loose the interest in reading. Another issue the video adresses is that saudi Arabia is an oral society, and it is more important to speak properly rather then reading. I choose this source because it goes in depth about the literacy issues and practices in a specific Middle Eastern country.
What’s up Santos, I like your answers for number 4. I also chose this source for the last question because it was very straight forward and a lot easier to understand.

I like what you talked about and how much information you gave about the middle easterners in society.
