The article is “African Born Immigrants in U.S School” and one of the points in this article is the education system and their way of addressing the different voices in the education system to have multicultural education in schools. This is to help all students gain academic achievement and have an equal chance to succeed in school. The problem with this is that everyone has different cultures and there is no one size fits all. And there is always going to be a language barrier when talking about African culture where there are so many different traditions and beliefs which make it difficult for schools to try to please everyone’s cultural differences. This is why trying to make multicultural education to have everyone have an equal footing is difficult to achieve. And leads to people being alienated because of the lack of knowledge and the vase of culture in Africa.

In this week’s videos, I learned that school is difficult for immigrants and also the pride people have in their culture and the communities they have around them. Also the pride they have around their culture and their passion as a community.

My source is the article “African-Born Immigrants in U.S. Schools”. And youtube videos “Africa in America” and “Challenges for Africans in U.S. Schools”.
