Melissa Guri-Literacy-(Discussion board1)

  1. Literacy is the ability to read, write, speak and listen in a way that lets us communicate effectively and make sense of the world.

2. Should we read and why? A question that everyone has to ask themselves, in a world where there are so many books and at a time when books are increasingly being replaced by modern means of communication, which, after all, will never be able to take their place! Because the book is something else, something more. Reading is of great value, helps us to better understand ourselves and the times yesterday, today, and even the future.

All readers read themselves when they read. The writer’s work is just a tool to help him understand that he probably couldn’t see inside himself without a book! Therefore, when reading a book, you need to think carefully about your choice of book. It mainly starts with the classic character. Each book is a space that invites us to enter and double our lives. Living that of millions of people. As with our own destiny, turning the pages of a book, fate is unknown. Our lives often scare us. Our life is not enough for us. too short! Next, I would like to increase it through books. Who remembers that we live in only one life? That is, he has never turned a book.

3. John Trischitti tells us very well how important literacy is and how it can impact your life. He told us about his teacher and that’s where the change began. Starting reading books made a huge difference in his life. Every time he talked about it, he mentioned that starting to read at an early age is important because it can shape your personality and your goals. You become a better person and of course, the generation after you will tend to be the same. For him, literacy can “open” your eyes. Literacy is the answer. I strongly agree! Let’s imagine that you are having a conversation with someone at work or school about a remarkable time in history and you don’t know what to say. You won’t feel comfortable. Lack of information should not exist nowadays. I’m sure that the majority part can afford to buy a book or even rent it.

The book contains art, and art is food for the soul.
