Literacy is the ability to read, write, speak and listen in a way that lets us communicate effectively and make sense of the world.To me personally literacy is the wide-ranging skill to understand, interpret, and communicate information effectively through different types of media and communication tools.John Trischitti did not define literacy but he defined illiteracy that it is the basic inability to understand or produce written information.John Trischitti said there were many different form of literacy,computer literacy,health literacy,financial literacy, and others.According to video he described literacy as a tool to reduce and stop the spread of hunger, poverty, and crime.Literacy is the answer for all questions.For me personally i agree what Trischitti think that literacy can solve all these problems and its important to have literacy skills because having literacy skills can make you have more job opportunities, and make smarter decisions. It’s like having a key that opens many doors in life.
