Hi Everyone, and welcome to week 10. We will explore the Black/ African-American perspective. There are a few readings, and a link to several literacy tests which were administered to Black voters in the 1960s, to determine their eligibility to vote. Many have since called those tests “impossible” to pass. Please take one of the tests to decide for yourself.
How is your research essay work going? Be sure to submit the essay check in by tonight/ end of week 9. There is no essay-related assignment this week, but feel free to check in with me, via email, in person or via Zoom. Continue gathering relevant materials about your topic, whether you are conducting research, interviews, or walking around NYC.
