1-Being an asian you will be facing a lot of racist either from school or at work.I faced many racist during highschool because i’m in a classroom that i’m the only asian kid in that room and the teacher are often calling my name and picking on my works.Little bit of stereotype happening that all asian kid are good at learning.
2-The new thing I learned is that the Latino population is moving and settling in different places in the United States, especially in the Southern states, which didn’t have many Latinos before. This means that these areas are seeing a lot more Latino people now. It’s important for these places to be ready to help and support the needs of these new Latino communities, especially in schools and other services. It’s also cool to see that Latino people come from different countries and have diverse backgrounds.
3-The video talks about young Latinos born in the U.S. to immigrant parents. It shows how they deal with being both Latino and American. They face pressure from their parents to honor their cultural roots while also fitting into American society. This struggle shapes how they see themselves as Americans. The film uses numbers to show how many Latino-Americans come of age each year, and it emphasizes that many young Latinos are born in the U.S. to immigrant parents. From my point of view, the movie highlights how hard it is for young Latinos to mix their cultural history with their American life. It shows how diverse the United States is but says it’s important for everyone to accept and celebrate this diversity instead of expecting everyone to be the same. Understanding and respecting the experiences of young Latinos and other people from different cultures is crucial. This topic is significant when discussing diversity, fitting in, and how the U.S. population is changing.

Hi Jie,
It’s disheartening to hear about the racist experiences you faced during high school. Being the only person of a certain ethnicity in a classroom can sometimes lead to stereotypes and discrimination.
I agree their is stereotypes for everybody. We all categorize people due to what we see or what we hear from others.
