From article i learned that there were three waves for the countries that speaks arabic to migrant to the US.For example the first wave there were around 250000 people come to the US and it happens between 1890 to 1920.The second wave are happening during the World War II and the creation of Israel.The last wave occur after the immigration law reformed.The article “Literacy Reform in the Middle East” talks about the impacts of literacy and the literacy level in Arab countries.Over all women in Arab countries have a low literacy level compare to men.I choose this article is because this article are talking about ratio of the society are being educated.This article say that women and older generation are being less educated compare to others.

Hey Jie Chen,
I found it pretty interesting that Woman have a low rate of literacy compare to Male individuals in Arab Countries and at the same time i am not surprised because Woman probably tend to be more as a house wife. I had no glue a quarter of 1 million entered the U.S. that spoke Arabic, and that the country those three waves of migrants entering between 1890 to 1920. Some may think that most older woman have more education than now but I guess its not the case for this generation in Arab countries.
