Summary

1.New literacies are all about thinking differently, collaborating, and adapting to various situations. They broaden the view of learning beyond traditional classrooms, creating an inclusive environment for everyone. Additionally, they equip students and teachers with essential skills for the modern world.

2. In an ideological model of literacy, it's like using reading and writing to make a positive impact on society. For example, you might read a book or article that promotes equality or environmental sustainability, and then use what you've learned to spread awareness or take action.

3.When studying new literacies, we can apply Szwed's and Perry's definitions by considering how literacy extends beyond traditional reading and writing skills. We can explore how new forms of communication, such as digital media and technology, shape our understanding of literacy.

4.Some "new literacies" that have helped me with my schooling are digital literacy and information literacy. Digital literacy has allowed me to access online resources, collaborate with classmates using digital platforms, and create multimedia presentations. Information literacy has helped me in conducting research, critically analyzing sources, and citing information properly.

5. I've had the chance to help a few friends who weren't very tech-savvy with their new devices or digital tools. I took the time to explain things step by step, using visuals to make it easier to understand. We would go through basic tasks together, like setting up email accounts, navigating social media, or using video apps.

6. One "new literacy" that I cannot live without is digital literacy. It's essential for navigating the online world, accessing information, and connecting with others.

7. Three emojis to describe my personality would be 😴☺️💙
