  1. Hello everyone,
My name is Amayalee, but I usually go by Amaya. I’m currently in my last semester at BMCC, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I’m 21 and a full-time college student, and I also work full-time as a Pre-K Teacher Assistant. After this semester, I plan to get my bachelor’s as well as become a Medical Assistant .

    1. Hello Amayalee nice to meet you. We both have the same plans to get our bachelors. I plan to transfer after BMCC to get my bachelor’s and I also work full time which is a lot to manage but we can do it by believing in ourselves to achieve the goals we have.

      Wish you the best

    2. Hi Amaya !

I am also majoring in Early Childhood Education. I use to be a lead teacher at Bright Horizons and I absolutely loved it there. I feel like it is important in this field to genuinely care for the children and support them as they grow because as a mom, I can say there have been times when I felt as though my daughter’s teachers were only there for a check and showed no interest in helping her growth. I am wishing you the best on your journey and just remember YOU CAN DO IT !

    1. Hi Mirianis !
I am majoring in Early Childhood Education but, I currently work at the District Attorney’s office. I am familiar with the criminal justice system and if you ever want to stop by and see all aspects of the court system, I am just an email away ! I hope to see you working in the courts after you graduate !

    2. Hello, Mirianis. It’s very nice to meet you. i like how we have the same goals in mind with our life after BMCC. I also worked full time in a pharamcy, so i wish you nothing but the best with this upcoming semester because i know it can be very challenging.

  2. Hello!

  4. Hi everyone!

My name is Brittany and this is my first semester here at BMCC. I have two children ( one is my fur baby) and I am super excited to embark on this new journey. After BMCC, I would like to get into the counseling field with children. My main goal is to eventually open my own day care and afterschool program for the youth. My daughter is my motivation for everything that I do and I look forward to seeing you all at the finish line !

    1. Hey Brittany. Opening up your own daycare sounds amazing, considering how many people need childcare and the subsidies that those businesses receive. It sounds like a very lucrative idea as well as one that helps society for the better.

    2. Hello Brittany!
We share the same passions! I love my baby, {my kitty), and I would love to get into working with special need children. Love that your own daughter is your motivation, she has the perfect role model to look up to!
