We’re writing with some updates about the Brightspace transition:
Training for Faculty and Staff
CUNY and BMCC are offering a variety of opportunities for faculty and staff to learn more about Brightspace. You can view the entire schedule in one place in this new calendar on this website.
If you are teaching this summer, we recommend enrolling in CUNY’s training series, which begins again the week of March 20. The series consists of 4 sessions over the course of 4 weeks: Getting Started with Brightspace, ABCs of Content, Engaging Learners, and Assessing Learners. Each session is offered on multiple days the same week.
Brightspace Login Options
The Brightspace login link is now available in the login drop-down menu on the BMCC website.
Recordings of CUNY Webinars
We have posted recordings of the CUNY webinar series.
Summer and Fall Courses
Summer 2024 courses will be created in Brightspace the first week of April. Fall 2024 courses will be created the first week of June. Spring 2024 courses will be migrated from Blackboard to Brightspace after the end of the semester.
Course Navbar
BMCC has created a new default course navbar that has been applied to migrated courses and will be the default for new courses going forward. You can see a short tour of the new navbar here.
