The “navbar” is the navigation menu at the top of every Brightspace course. Students and instructors use the navbar to access Brightspace tools such as content, grades, discussion, and course admin. Your view of the navbar depends on your role in the course – instructors see some navbar items (e.g., course admin) that students do not.
BMCC has created a customized default course navbar that will be applied to all BMCC courses, including courses that have been migrated from Blackboard. You can go for a brief tour of the default navbar by watching the video below. Instructors can also customize their course navbars by rearranging the links to Brightspace tools and/or adding links to external resources.
