  1. Hi, my name is Daniel Yusufari. I am currently studying Engineering science here at BMCC. In my free time I usually go on walks to explore my neighborhood, and try to beat whatever video game I’m currently playing. I’m hoping along the way somewhere ill figure out my purpose in life but until then I plan on taking it one step at a time. I very much look forward to interacting with you all this semester.

  2. Hello, my name is Marielis Rodriguez. My major is Early childhood education. This is my last semester here at Bmcc. During my free time, I love to listen to music or watch movies. After Bmcc, I will transfer to a 4 year college and continue my education there.

My major is Criminal Justices and I’m doing a four year degree so after I graduate from bmcc I want to transfer to John Jay College. During my free time I like to go out either by myself or with my friends and also I like to listen to music.

This is my second semester at BMCC and my major is Criminal Justice, I’m currently doing this semester fully online from Paris because of an injury, and I hope to return as soon as I can. After BMCC I’m planning on transfering to a 4-year university. I like to travel, spend time with my family and friends and work on myself. I hope we all have a great semester !

What stood out to me most was how you’re continuing your studies online from Paris despite your injury, that takes a lot of dedication and resilience. I also connected with what you said about traveling and working on yourself, since I feel like college is such an important time for personal growth as well.   5. Hello, everyone. My name is Xiangrui Sun, you can call me Ray. I come from China, Chinese is my first language. This is my second semester at BMCC and my major is computer science. I love travel, playing tennis and take photo. For now, I try to take winter and summer class, that can make me graduate quicker. After BMCC, I would like to join a four-years university.

  6. Hi everyone, my name is Jessica Irie, and I’m from the Ivory Coast. I’m a Liberal Arts major at BMCC. I’m interested in using my time here to prepare for nursing school, especially by strengthening my foundation in science, healthcare, and critical thinking. After BMCC, I plan to continue my education in nursing and pursue a healthcare career. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, taking pictures, and trying new restaurants with friends, which helps me stay curious and well-rounded.

I currently work at a daycare center with Toddlers (ages 1-2) and this class is required to complete my associates degree. I wasn’t looking forward to starting this class due to being nervous about starting school again after 5yrs, but I’m excited to learn new things here.

    My name is Albina, and this is my last semester at BMCC. I am completing the Health Sciences program, and after BMCC I plan to apply to a Bachelor’s program in Nursing (RN). I am originally from Siberia. I enjoy learning about different cultures and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. In my free time, I like spending time with my family, traveling, and drawing, as well as learning more about health and wellness.

  10. Hello everyone, my name is Muhammad Tauha. You guys can call me T for short or use either my first or last name whatever is easiest to pronounce I don’t mind either. This is my second semester at BMCC and I am a computer science major. My hobbies include gaming, playing badminton and working on side projects with game development. After graduating from BMCC I plan to continue my studies at a senior college preferably go out of the city and become a dual major student as I want to study astrophysics as well.

  13. Hello my name is Ryan and I major in criminal justice. A bit about me is I chose BMCC because of the diversity and community compared to the Island since there’s nothing to be doing out here. I like listening to a lot of music especially Lady Gaga, Perfect Illusion is her greatest song in my opinion. After BMCC I hope to pursue my bachelor’s degree or hopefully have obtained my security license and build up a nice background if I choose other paths.

  14. Hi, My name is Mackenzie. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and I want to after transfer to a SUNY to do forensic science to eventually become a forensic scientist or homicide detective. Outside of school I like to shop, hang out with my friends, color, try new foods and I been trying to be more artsy and finding new hobbies that calm my brain and cut down on screen time.

  15. Hello everyone my name is Ephanize. It’s pronounced Ef-fah-neez and my major is human services. I chose BMCC for its flexibility, being a caregiver and working doesnt leave me with much time on my hands, however I find it easier to obtain my degree with the resources and help I get from the school and my advisor. After BMCC, I plan to get my BA in Sociology. Ive been working non profit shelter programs for a while and I enjoy what I do, being around people and being able to help them. I enjoy reading, writing ,painting and listening to Neo soul. My favorite color is blue and I like to make jokes often. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

In my free time I like to go to work and I like to swim. Another thing about me is my birthday is September 30 and I’m learning sign language.

    I’m passionate about working with people and making positive impacts in their lives.
    I really enjoy playing tennis and listening to a lot of music, which helps me relax and stay balanced.
