For extra credit on the Revision Project (or the Fiction Project if you only wrote two drafts), create a post that shows the evolution of your logline. Start with the final draft, then mark up your final draft to show the individual story elements in it (see example below), then include the draft before the final, then the one before that, and then the earliest one you wrote.

You should take the logline drafts directly from your homework. If you follow the directions, you can receive up to five extra points on one of the projects — one point for each part. But you must include at least three drafts that were turned in to Brightspace as part of your work during the fiction part of the course.

Start with the final draft of the logline.

Draft 4 (final ) [1 point]: A wildlife preservationist who wants to protect grizzly bears from extinction spends years studying and living with them in Alaska, but while he aims to protect these beasts, he may not be able to protect himself from them.

Final draft with markings [1 point]: Mark up the story elements using the key and example below.
Inciting incident – PROTAGONIST – want – action – ANTATAGONIST/CONFLICT – s e t t i n g – s t a k e s

A WILDLIFE PRESERVATIONIST who wants to protect grizzly bears from extinction spends years studying and living with them in A l a s k a, but while he aims to protect THESE BEASTS, he may not be able to p r o t e c t h i m s e l f f r o m t h e m.

Draft 3 [1 point]: A wildlife preservationist regularly visits the Alaska wilderness to advocate for these animals, but is his commitment to preserve these beasts too dangerous for his own preservation?

Draft 2 [1 point]:
A grizzly bear lover visits the Alaska wilderness to advocate for these animals, but is his commitment to preserve these beasts too dangerous for his own preservation?

Draft 1 [1 point]:
An advocate for the preservation of grizzly bears spends years living with and videotaping grizzlies in the Alaska wilderness in an effort to advocate for the animals, but is his commitment to preserve these beasts too dangerous for his own preservation?
